Here's a shoutout to Rebecca Francis who turned 18th today! (hahaha sorry but this picture makes me laugh)

Netball has been really fun with you around, and thanks for always being there for me (:
We'll have many more wonderful times!

Anyway today was a good day. I spent it with my grandma, mostly.
Apart from shopping with my mum at Raffles City Shopping Centre.

My grandma can't see the TV properly cause of catharacts that specs cant solve.
Neither can she speak english or chinese.
Her legs hurt when she walks, she's tired easily cause of dialysis four times a day.
But today i saw her strength.

Today was cooking yong tau foo with some minced beans day. Those beans come in bottles.
I tried opening the bottle with my hands.
My mum tried to open it with a cloth.
My aunties used hot water.
To no avail. The cap wasn't even loosened.

My grandma, used tools that opened it in 2 seconds flat.
I was like WOAH. Okay maybe i wasnt that smart to use my bare hands... but still.

I learn alot from my grandmother. Sure, many tangible things.
When i was young i learnt cantonese from her when i was staying with her.
Then how to choose food from the market when i was in primary school.
After that, she taught me how to gamble and sing some cantonese love songs :P

But i guess what really matters is the intangible things which are countless.
She's possibly the person i admire most in my life.
Like i know she wants me to be a lawyer, but she tells me to be what i want to be.
And i cant tell her i want to be a journalist cause i don't know how to say that in cantonese -.-

I just found today really great, so thought i might share.
