Chanced upon this poem today. I love it!

The Quiet World by Jeffrey McDaniel

In an effort to get people to look
into each other's eyes more,
and also to appease the mutes,
the government has decided
to allot each person exactly one hundred
and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it to my ear
without saying hello. In the restaurant
I point to chicken noodle soup.
I am adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long distance lover,
proudly say I only used fifty-nine today.
I saved the rest for you.

When she doesn't respond,
I know she's used up all her words,
so I slowly whisper I love you
thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line
and listen to each other breathe.

I haven't updated in the longest time.

University life has started!
Although everyone says that JC life is the most stressful, Uni life measures up pretty darn well. Reading uni notes is like studying for A levels, just that its not a single stressful period but the entire 4 years of stress. Readings are piling up like nobody's business.

I'm taking a basic introduction to lit module, a philosophical module in theatre and film, French, and 3 Communication studies cores. Muahahaha. French is sexy, yes it is!

Clark quay last night with pam, wx and li yin was very enjoyable :) We cam-whored to the extent that major camwhore-rers are proud to call us their friends. Drank marginally, its weird cause I'm having a super screwed up headache.
